Elk Grove, CA – Small businesswoman and local community leader Angela Spease has been endorsed by the Elk Grove Planning Commission Chair, Frank Maita, in her campaign for SMUD Board of Directors.
“Angela is one of the hardest working and caring individuals I know,” said Maita. “Her dedication to the community and her commitment to growing a successful business make her well-equipped to be an effective representative on the SMUD Board.”
Angela brings nearly 2 decades of experience in the cybersecurity field and a history creating jobs, balancing a budget, and contributing to the local economy. She intends on drawing from her time as a successful small businesswoman in order to advocate for the best interest of hardworking SMUD employees and ratepayers.
Through her community involvement, Angela spends much of her time volunteering for a number of organizations in a leadership capacity, including serving as the co-founder and Treasurer for The Arts Advocacy Project (TAAP) in Elk Grove, Treasurer for the Asian Resources Inc. Community Services Board, and Executive Director of the Rotary District Youth Leadership Awards Program for Northern California and Nevada.
Angela grew up in Elk Grove, where she lives with her husband, Kevin. Together, they own and operate two local businesses, Spease Bees Honey Company and ISSE Services.
