October 30, 2018
Small businesswoman and community leader Angela Spease has earned the endorsement of the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) in her campaign for SMUD Board of Directors.
In a letter to Spease, President of CSLEA Alan Barcelona stated “Your contributions to your community make this endorsement an easy decision. We look forward to working with you to be an advocate for ratepayers in the years to come.”
In response to the endorsement, Angela stated “I am honored to receive the support of over 7,000 public safety professionals and CSLEA. Public safety should be a top priority among all facets of government, and as a SMUD Board Director, I will always prioritize the safety of Sacramento County residents.”
Angela currently owns and operates a local cybersecurity consulting company, ISSE Services, which offers cybersecurity expertise to a number of private and public clients, including the department of defense. Angela and her husband also own the local honey company, Spease Bees, which donates 10% of its sales to local charity.
