Angela Spease joins SMUD board race
Elk Grove resident Angela Spease on Aug. 21 announced her candidacy in the race for the Sacramento Municipal Utilities District (SMUD) board. Incumbent Genevieve Shiroma is not seeking re-election to the Ward 4 seat, which represents Elk Grove.
“I am humbled by the outpouring of support I have received since deciding to run,” Spease said in a press statement.

Kevin is an Elk Grove planning commissioner who ran for Elk Grove mayor in 2016.
Spease plans to kick off her election campaign by hosting an event at Pins N Strikes on Wednesday, Aug. 29. The gathering begins at 6:15 p.m. at 3443 Laguna Blvd.
